The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared a significant cash reward of ₹58 crore for the Indian cricket team, celebrating their triumphant campaign at the Champions Trophy 2025. The Rohit Sharma-led team showcased exceptional performance, remaining undefeated throughout the tournament and securing a comfortable win against New Zealand in the final.
According to the official statement, this substantial reward will be distributed among the players, coaching staff, support personnel, and members of the men’s selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar.
The BCCI expressed immense pride in Team India’s stellar performance, highlighting their dominant run in the tournament. India started their campaign with a convincing six-wicket victory over Bangladesh, followed by another six-wicket triumph against Pakistan. They continued their winning streak with a 44-run victory over New Zealand in the group stage and then defeated Australia by four wickets in the semi-final.
BCCI President Roger Binny stated that winning consecutive ICC titles is a remarkable achievement, and this reward acknowledges Team India’s unwavering dedication and excellence on the global stage.
