Six-time Grand Slam champion and former German tennis star, Boris Becker, has offered his support to Thanasi Kokkinakis, currently ranked 84th in the world. Kokkinakis recently underwent surgery to address a chest injury.
Becker sent a message to the Australian player wishing him “Good luck with rehabilitation!”
Kokkinakis last competed at the Australian Open 2025 in a doubles match with Nick Kyrgios. They had to withdraw during their first-round game against fellow Australians James Duckworth and Aleksandar Vukic due to Kokkinakis’s injury. The score was 5-7, 2-3 at the time of withdrawal.
Thanasi Kokkinakis’s achievements include winning one Grand Slam title in doubles, four ATP tournament titles, and reaching the final of the Davis Cup.
