World No. 6 Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev has shared his thoughts on reaching the fourth round of the Masters tournament in Indian Wells, USA. His third-round opponent was American Alex Michelsen.
Michelsen stopped playing after just two games due to illness. The match lasted less than 20 minutes.
Medvedev commented, “I felt great at the start of the tournament and was looking forward to playing against Alex. I haven’t seen him play much, but I like his style on the court. I believe we could have had a really interesting match. It’s unfortunate he got sick, but these things happen.”
He also added, “Playing here is always challenging due to the conditions. Before the tournament, I felt like I was losing my rhythm, but it returned after the first match. I’m feeling better and better.”
