Today marks the 37th birthday of the accomplished German tennis player, Laura Siegemund. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Laura and wish her continued success both on and off the court.
Born on March 4, 1988, in Stuttgart, Germany, Laura Siegemund turned professional in 2005. Throughout her impressive career, she has secured two WTA singles titles and 15 doubles titles, amassing over $6.6 million in prize money.
Siegemund’s best Grand Slam singles performance was reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open in 2020. In doubles, she triumphed at the US Open in 2020 alongside Vera Zvonareva. Adding to her Grand Slam success, Laura also won the 2016 US Open mixed doubles title with Mate Pavic.

Laura Siegemund achieved her career-high singles ranking of world No. 27 in August 2016. Currently, she is ranked No. 84 in the world in singles.
In May 2017, she suffered a significant knee injury at the Nuremberg tournament, sidelining her for the remainder of the season. After another knee surgery in August 2021, she returned to competition within six months. Subsequently, she added two doubles titles with Vera Zvonareva (Lyon and Miami) and two more with Kirsten Flipkens (Cluj-Napoca and Hobart).
In the 2023 season, Siegemund and Zvonareva claimed the WTA Finals doubles title. In 2024, she won a title in Osaka with Ena Shibahara.
