World No. 2 Iga Swiatek commented on her convincing victory over Karolina Muchova in the fourth round of the Indian Wells tournament with a score of 6/1, 6/1.
“I felt in control of the game from the very beginning and tried to make as few mistakes as possible. I didn’t want Karolina to impose her game on me, and I’m glad that I was able to stick to my match plan,” Swiatek said.
She also noted: “Sometimes strange matches happen in tennis. If one player is not in top form, and the other, on the contrary, feels great, the score difference can be much larger than usual. A week ago in training, we played roughly equally. But today I played very focused and efficiently.”
