Iga Swiatek, the world’s second-ranked player from Poland, expressed her satisfaction after advancing to the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, USA.

“I felt really great, for sure. Despite the schedule changes that affected everyone, I was able to adapt. I’m happy that I could seize all the opportunities and I’m pleased with my confident play which allowed me to finish the match quickly before the rain,” Swiatek commented in an on-court interview.

In the fourth round match at Indian Wells, Swiatek secured a victory over Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic with a score of 6-1, 6-1. The match was initially delayed due to rain.

For a place in the semifinals, Swiatek will compete against the winner of the match between Zheng Qinwen of China and Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine.
