The organizers of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, USA, have announced a change of court surface supplier. The official press release was published on the tournament’s website.
According to the press release, Laykold will bring ‘new dynamics’ to the tournament. This change is intended to guarantee ATP and WTA players an optimal playing environment, allowing them to showcase their best tennis.
The press release further states that Laykold courts provide stability that is 10 times greater than the industry standard. The organizers aim to create the most stable courts in tennis history for the tournament in California.
The Indian Wells tournament is scheduled to be held from March 5th to 16th.
