The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has issued a statement addressing the accusations made by the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA).
Previously, the PTPA, co-founded by Novak Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil, announced a lawsuit against the ATP, WTA, ITF, and ITIA. The players’ union cited ‘systemic abuses’ and a ‘gross disregard for player well-being spanning decades’ in their claims.
“We confirm receipt of the letter detailing the PTPA’s legal claim and will require time to formulate a response.”
“As a non-profit organization and the global governing body of tennis, the ITF is dedicated to the growth and sustainable development of tennis worldwide. We reinvest 90% of our revenue into the global development of tennis through our 213 national member associations,” the ITF stated.
