Manchester United defeated Arsenal in a close match to secure their spot in the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
Jack Fletcher, son of Darren Fletcher, put United ahead in the 36th minute with a superb curling shot from the edge of the box.
Arsenal responded just before halftime when Will Sweet’s long pass found Louis Copley, who calmly chipped the ball over the goalkeeper.
Arsenal’s talented youngster, Max Dowman, who was impressive throughout the game, earned and converted a penalty to give his team the lead.
However, Jaydan Kamason equalized for United with a powerful strike from outside the box in injury time, sending the game into extra time.
Bendito Mantato scored the decisive goal for Manchester United in the first half of extra time, following a cut-back from Samuel Lusale.
Arsenal’s captain, Street, was sent off late in extra time for a foul on Kamason.
