World No. 11 Mirra Andreeva has shared insights into her working relationship with her coach, Conchita Martinez.
Andreeva admitted, “We can argue with each other. I am aware that she is my coach and I need to respect and listen to her.”
She continued, “I recall several instances where I was close to losing my temper. However, through experience, I’ve learned that on the court, we are not friends; she is my coach, and her role is to help me achieve victory. This will remain our dynamic.”
Conchita Martinez: Mirra will always have a good backhand. But at a high level, you need to win points with your forehand as well.
