World No. 11 Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has shared insights into her relationship with her coach, Conchita Martinez. Andreeva mentioned that she felt comfortable with Martinez from the very beginning of their collaboration.
“From the very start of our working relationship, I immediately felt a great connection,” Andreeva stated.
“At our first tournament together, everything was already fantastic, and I felt very comfortable around her. I think she told me she felt the same way, so thankfully it wasn’t just me. The atmosphere is always positive; I feel we are both very energetic. We know how to be energetic, but also when we need to calm down and be serious about things.”
“Yes, I trust her completely in everything. I think she knows everything that is going on in my life. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but yeah, that’s just how it is. I am just super happy to have her by my side,” Andreeva concluded.
