With this win, Mumbai Indians are now level on points with Delhi Capitals at 10 points. Mumbai Indians are currently in second place due to net run-rate. They will aim to secure a direct spot in the final by finishing at the top of the table in their upcoming final league match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Gujarat Giants, concluding their league stage with eight points, will now compete in the eliminator match on Thursday against the second-placed team.
