Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price are set to clash in a significant world title unification fight on Friday, March 7.

In this all-British showdown at the Royal Albert Hall, Jonas’ IBF and WBC welterweight titles and Price’s WBA championship will be contested, live on Sky Sports.

This fight marks a crucial moment in both Jonas’ and Price’s boxing careers.

Victory will position the unified champion for an undisputed title fight against the winner of Mikaela Mayer vs Sandy Ryan. Mayer will defend her WBO 147lb world title against Ryan later this month.

Price confidently stated on Behind The Ropes, “I’ll hold three world titles. I’ll beat Jonas. Who’s next? Mayer? Sandy? Anyone. I beat everyone at 147lb.”

She further declared, “I can become one of the greatest female boxers ever, not just from Britain, but globally.”

Despite being 40 years old and already a two-weight unified world champion, Jonas is determined not to let Price halt her career on March 7.

‘Undisputed Title is the Next Step’

BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom believes the winners of the Jonas-Price and Mayer-Ryan fights must face each other to determine the undisputed welterweight world champion.

Shalom told Sky Sports, “I think it has to be. There’s one belt on the other side. So I think the winner of Sandy and Mikaela is going to be queuing up and the winner of this is going to want to clean out the whole division.”

He added, “For me, it’s the best division in women’s boxing right now, with many fighters around this weight. There are some great fights ahead, and significant title defenses for Natasha and Lauren, whoever wins. For me, these are the two best in the division. Natasha has proven it over the last few years, and Lauren Price is an exceptional talent. I’m really excited.”

Jonas stated on Behind The Ropes, “That’s what she says. There is still a hunger and a desire and a motivation that burns inside me.”

“You keep moving the target to see if you can still reach it. And so far, I haven’t missed.”

She wants to be remembered as “the girl who never gave up. The girl who kept going. The girl who got there in the end.”
