World No. 9 Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa has expressed her support for Argentinian tennis player Federico Agustin Gomez, ranked 135th in the world, after his emotional social media post detailing his mental health challenges.
The tennis player confessed that he had considered ending his career and had even contemplated suicide.
Badosa responded on her social media, writing: ‘It is very difficult to read these words, in which I see my own thoughts. Sending you a lot of support and strength. You are very brave. Remember that the storm does not last forever, and the sun always rises. And when it rises, you will be stronger than ever.’
