Dutch tennis player Tallon Griekspoor has shared his thoughts on his semi-final qualification at the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai, UAE. Griekspoor overcame Russian player Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-finals.
Medvedev had four match points during the second set.
“There isn’t much time for celebration because I’m back on court tomorrow. I’m incredibly happy with this victory, especially considering I had to fight back from several match points in the second set. Daniil is an exceptional opponent, and it’s clear why he’s been a top player for so long. I’m very satisfied with the outcome.
How did I manage to save those four match points? Staying calm was crucial to keep going. Sometimes you need a bit of luck, and I felt it was with me today. I’m really pleased with the win. Now, the most important thing is to recover and prepare for tomorrow’s match,” Griekspoor said after his victory.
