The MGM Rewards Slam exhibition tournament in Las Vegas, USA, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd, is facing potential postponement. This is due to the withdrawal of several prominent players and the possible disqualification of world number one, Jannik Sinner, as reported by Tennis.com.
Alexander Zverev of Germany, ranked second in the world, Casper Ruud of Norway, ranked fifth, and Tommy Paul of the USA, ranked tenth, are all likely to withdraw from the tournament. They are reportedly suffering from food poisoning obtained during the ATP 500 tournament in Acapulco.
The Las Vegas exhibition event is also set to feature matches between eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi of the USA and his fellow countryman Mardy Fish. Furthermore, WTA world number one Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus is scheduled to play against four-time major champion Naomi Osaka of Japan.
